Extended DISC®

Extended Disc is based on the 1920’s psychosomatic theory by Carl G. Jung. It was William Moulton-Marston who further advanced the theories into the four dimensional human behavioural quadrant.  Later, the original DISC framework was developed into the current Extended Disc Model we have today.

The Extended Disc® profile offers an individual over 160 styles of behavioural flexibility. Essentially, identifying ‘who’ the person is, rather than ‘what’ the person thinks they need to be.  Such eloquent performance measures are ideal for individuals and for the organisation as a whole.  By identifying areas for improvement, employers can eliminate wasted resources, time and mistakes and maximize output and efficiencies.

The Extended Disc® profile is ideal for individual performance and is also available for:

  • Sales and Productivity
  • Management
  • Leadership
  • Customer Service Training
  • Administrative Recruitment
  • Team Development
  • Communication
  • Projects

The profile is run as an online application and takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and available in over 50 languages.  It is suitable for individuals, teams, divisional or organisational levels.

This powerful tool can also be run for ‘couples’ or for a ‘team of two’ working together looking to identify any complimentary styles and noticeable gaps.  By understanding the different behaviours in each party, a Work Pair Analysis can clearly demonstrate the need for congruence and alignment.

One of the many challenges people face when working together is their compatibility and often optimal performance is not reached when this happens.  By assessing the two, employers have a much greater ability to assign roles.

The Extended Disc® profile is a great framework for Team Analysis, providing the big picture for easy decision making, productivity performance and problem solving.  The Extended Disc® profile is a very cost effective way to assess your team members individually and how they currently function as a team.  By identifying your overall team performance, you can easily make adjustments to team roles, team members, use for succession planning and strategic decision making.

So what does Extended Disc® mean?
